Travel Guide - The Wayatinah Lakeside Caravan Park has for many years been a holiday destination for Tasmanian families because of its safety for children from main road traffic, its extensive area for kids to play and with the pool and tennis court to cool off or exercise, what more can they need.

The village has its own small and challenging 6 hole golf course, lovingly maintained by local volunteers.

Fishing in the lake is superb with many a large fish finding its way onto campers plates. The lake is man made and has never been stocked with fish, as, when the lake was formed as a hydro storage lake, there were many trees left on or near the bottom. These play havoc with lures but ensure that young fish have a place to grow in safety .
