Travel Guide - Seal Rocks is a sleepy little isolated beach town about 300 km north of Sydney. Its famous largely for its beautiful lighthouse and the sense of isolation it enjoys. A small road separates the town from the main road (Lakes Way) and has kept development at bay. The 130 locals are very happy that the town has avoided excessive development. Seals is surrounded by national parks and pristine beaches located minutes from Myall Lakes and Smith Lakes. The town is 40km from the the Pacific Highway to the west, just after Bulahdelah, and 44km from Foster-Tuncurry to the north.

There is plenty to do with some very real attractions: unspoilt surfing beaches, noted divings spots, the nearby Myall Lakes National Park and, most notably, the spectacularly beautiful Seal Rocks lighthouse - officially known as Sugarloaf Point Lighthouse - which overlooks an unspoilt beach and the group of offshore rocky outcrops which gives the area its name.
