Travel Guide - The Rainforest Circuit commences at the eastern end of the car park at Cunningham's Gap in Main Range National Park. It passes the Allan Cunningham monument, and is the beginning of an extensive track system on the northern side of the Gap. Enjoy strolling under towering rainforest trees admiring amazing buttress roots and listening to the calls of secretive rainforest birds.
The Fassifern Valley lookout, in a small patch of eucalypt forest on the eastern part of the circuit, provides a spectacular view over distinctive volcanic peaks, the Fassifern Valley and Lake Moogerah. It can be reached by climbing the stairs at the first track junction, or for an easier way round the entire circuit, turn left at the base of the stairs and walk the circuit in a clockwise direction. ...
