We have regular GP Registrars and other junior doctors.
The building at 8 Canning Road is a custom build medical centre and was initially constructed in 1974. A two storey addition was completed in 1992. In 2010 an extensive renovation of the building was undertaken, this has seen the pathology collection centre be relocated to the front of the building and also extended to allow a second room for the collection of pathology samples.
The building consists of:
- 6 consulting rooms
- Primary health clinic room/7th consulting room
- Theatre and preparation/sterilisation room
- Nurse's treatment room
- Nurse's office
- Patients' and disabled patients' toilets
- Waiting room
- Combined office and reception area
- Practice manager's office
- Conference and staff room
- Store room
- Computer network hub and main server
All of the doctors are accredited to provide care at the Kalamunda hospital and health service. As a community, we are fortunate to have this government hospital locally. It provides a wide range of medical, surgical and obstetric facilities.
Other general practice services:
- Counselling for individuals, couples and families.
- Minor surgical procedures. Eg: removal of skin cancers, liquid nitrogen therapy to warts and pre-cancerous sun spots.
- Care of the elderly - at the surgery, at home, in hospital, hostel or nursing home and the surgery can help with organising and arranging respite care to give carers a break.
