Travel Guide - Former Palace Backpackers, the heritage listed building is located in the very centre of the city opposite Central Station, providing everything you need at your fingertips. Accommodation at the Base Brisbane Central hostel is monitored by a 24 hour reception.

Base Brisbane Central has everything a backpacker could want, with five floors offering a wide variety of rooms to appeal to everyone from the newly-arrived to the newly-wed, including dormitory and private rooms. All rooms are secured via electronic keycards, while you can keep your valuables doubly secured with supplied lockers. Linen is also provided.

Base has a rooftop terrace to catch some sun, chill out, have a barbecue or just watch the world go by while you wait for your laundry in one of three laundry rooms. If the sun's not your thing then there are also common areas kick back, relax, and get some quality TV time; that or cook up a feast in the guest kitchen.
